Rua de S. Paulo (Dasanba) Street

Overview

Leading to the Ruins of St. Paul and Largo de Senado, any visit to Macau should include a stroll through Rua. de S. Paulo (Dasanba) Street. Although small, the road is separated into two parts: North and South.

The North end of the road features a collection of shops that mainly sell furniture and antiques, while the South end of the road features souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and food stalls. Foodies take note! A wide collection of traditional local pastries and delicacies are to be found here, including pork jerky and almond biscuits.

The road is right next to the Ruins of St. Paul and en route to other tourist attractions. While it’s beautiful to visit during the day, the street is narrow and packed with crowds. In summer months, consider going in the evenings or when the sun isn’t at its peak, to keep cool.
