Ruins of St. Paul’s

Overview

Perhaps the best known of Macau’s attractions, the Ruins of St. Paul’s are the remnants of St. Paul’s Cathedral after a fire in 1835. Visitors are drawn here by the fusion of Eastern and Western architectural styles, a rarity in religious buildings.

As Macau’s leading tourist attraction, the Ruins neighbour Na Tcha Temple, Mount Fortress and the ever-romantic Travessa da Paixão.

Shopaholics should also check out the nearby Rua de S. Paulo (Dasanba) Street for a tourist-oriented shopping experience.
